Privacy policy
In short
Kajet does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. Your pages are kept on your device and, only when you turn iCloud sync on, in your own private iCloud storage. We cannot read them.
Who is responsible
Kajet is developed and published by Krzysztof Kardasz, who is the data controller for the purposes of this policy. You can reach us at support@kajet.app.
What the app stores
Kajet stores the pages you write, their titles and your app settings. This data stays in the app’s own storage on your device.
If you enable “Use iCloud Sync”, the same data is additionally stored in Kajet’s private CloudKit container inside your Apple Account, so that it can be synchronised between your iPhone, iPad and Mac. This storage belongs to you; it is governed by Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy, and the developer has no access to it.
No analytics, ads or third-party services
The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. Its privacy manifest declares that it does not track users and does not collect data.
This website
kajet.app is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics. As part of delivering the pages, GitHub may log technical request data such as IP addresses; see GitHub’s privacy statement for details.
Your theme and language choices are stored locally in your browser and are never sent anywhere.
Retention and deletion
Your pages stay until you delete them. Deleting a page removes it from the device and, when sync is on, from your other devices. Removing the app deletes its local data; data kept in iCloud can be removed in the system settings of your Apple Account.
Children
Kajet is safe to use at any age: it has no accounts, no user-generated content shared with others and no data collection.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to give access to, correct or erase. If you have a question about privacy, or a request under applicable data-protection law, write to us and we will answer.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
